The one thing almost nobody understands is when I was really winning a lot I had real money issues. My wife with her Multiple Sclerosis was in a walker or scooter from about 1996. She hardly worked at all after those years. I was a Ford worker but a US. dollar was at about $1.50 Can. I could not afford to shoot much practice at my own club and it is only a mile away. I would take $1500 Canadian to the bank and come back with $998 US. I did hours of dry firing for about 20 years. Going to the Grand or Ohio State shoots was expensive enough playing the options, staying in Hotels and meals etc. I hardly shot any practice.

I had a normal lifestyle with my son in Hockey etc. and I was running Open All Age Retriever dog trails. I had to win money in trap shoots or stop going. I would win a major event many times or break some 25's or 50's and guys at my club would say where do you practice. In 1999 and 2000 I won the Ontario Championships HOA and HAA and hit a 200 in 16's both years. I left home one day just got to the Grand on Friday tied Phil Kiner with a 98 in Handicap and won the shoot off, it was all from dry firing. He played the $50 purse I didn't he got $4900 to my $2900. I went to the Missouri Fall handicap about 20 years in a row most were not big wins but were free shoots. I quit most winters and won all kinds of events in Florida. I broke a 100 in doubles to win the Jacobson $1000 doubles event. I had not shot a pair of doubles since the Michigan team shoot in September all from working doubles on the chart.

You see the top shooters shoot the whole two weeks of the Grand's 2600 targets. They shoot full week shoots many times a year that volume gives them great moves. I knew I could not do any of that so picking the gun up every day was my method and it worked. I sell enough Wall Charts have many Grand and state trophies, 8 Ontario Titles. I wanted to get the point across the amount of wins you can get from just dry firing. I know it was the key to my wins I won many events early in a week shoot I was worse after two weeks of real shooting with no dry firing. Call me with any questions.

    God Bless.
