What reports, you haven't described what you are looking at, or how the reference to WTA appears in same at all? Help me out, how is WTA used in whatever you are looking at? I don't see any reference to WTA in the 990 or audit reports I've seen, but admittedly you might have more recent ones. Definitely not there on the ATA's 2013 990. I will assume you are looking at a more recent 990? What is the name of the organization showing at Box C at top of page 1? What is the EIN showing in Box D? If you are looking at an audit report, what is the name of the client on the audit report (page number one, right after "To the Board of Trustees")? What is the year-end?

You mention Vandalia, is it possible they changed the name of the old 501(c)(7) to WTA? That's why I ask about the EIN.

That is correct, but they did pay $12,000 in 2015.

 

The ATA/SCTP partnership didn't start until 1/15, that's why no money was given to them in the years you're looking at.

 

What year did the ATA reincorporate in the State Of Illinois, which was a very sorry state to Incorporate in in the first place, I feel it had to do with the Life Members abilities and powers

The new ATA was formed in Illinois on 11/29/2004. The "old" ATAA (501c7) registered in IL on 8/26/2004. Both corporations co-exist.

 

Bat: Thanks for that, I knew the ATA formed a new corp, I have some difficulty in when the ATAA was formed the dates do not look correct for some reason. The WTA was on the bottom of one of the IRS documents, and it related to the Vandalia Site during shot reclaim demolition period. That's all I can tell you.

I saw some Advertising as the ATA was going to be the World Trapshooting Association just before the transition to Sparta.

I will try to find out what I can, wish I could bring up that IRS Form 990 again, I had several in my documents file, during my attempted to switch to Windows 10 that did not work back to my original version, I lost some valuable information, websites, and Pass words Etc. Damn it.

Not sure what you are referring to with that, but FWIW the ATAA was formed in 1923. On 8/26/2004 it registered as a foreign corporation in IL. As opposed to the ATA, which was incorporated under the laws of IL 11/29/2004.

I have no recollection of ATA advertising as the WTA at any time, but that's just my recollection. I've never heard of it from anyone else either. As I said, and as Jo2 pointed out there was a proposal by someone to do that, but it was quickly nixed, one of the reasons being it would be expensive to change everything affected by the name.

I'm trying to avoid Windows 10 as long as possible!

 

My friend still seems very confident the future of the WSC will only exist if an outside group buys it and runs it. Currently, nothing is taking place. It's on no ones radar. According to him there is no state approved plan for anything at the WSC. The IDNR is only doing things that have no cost to the state. Just sitting back and watching like he told me to do. He still says 50/50 on the 2016 Grand and no chance on a 2017 Grand unless there's a new owner. Guess we'll see.

 

No money allocated for this year. SCTP gone to better hunting grounds. U.S. Open has a new home. Only ones left are the corrupt and destitute. lol
