Perazzi vs Seitz fastest swinging gun!

Which gun is a faster swinging gun? Perazzi or Seitz?

 

Perazzi hands down; however for speed swing and trigger speed my Infinity moves way faster than both of them

 

I've owned 13 Perazzi's and 3 Seitz guns.

I prefer the Seitz and the trigger.

Just received my new O/U Seitz. Fine feeling gun

 

No one can say one brand of gun is faster swinging than another. It all depends on the individual guns and how they're set up.
In reality, you can swing ANY trap gun fast enough to get the job done, so which one is "faster" is a moot point.

 

Winchester Model 12, TM1 was made to swing like it ... The real answer is subjective at best, depends on who is doing the swinging ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

Are you sure? Are you saying a front heavy gun will move the same as a lighter gun or the same as a gun that is lighter out front? Please explain.

 

I shot a MX10RS for 14 years, bought a Seitz last year. My Seitz swings a lot faster than the Perazzi, I put a 5oz. weight on the Seitz to slow my swing down a little. Thats my experience, but everyone is different.

It's more important how a gun points than the speed it swings, there is controlled speed and out of controlled speed. The reason the heavy un singles are not good on windy strong targets is that once they start moving you can't stop them quickly to make a adjustment on a jumping or diving target and if you are a two eyed shooter many times you will shoot off the barrel when trying to make a fast correction.

Every good Model 12 shooter that ever existed will tell you about making a fore hand move on a diving target, I call it a left hand jerk, and breaking it. Only someone that has shoot live birds, hunting or pigeons will understand this. As long as a clay pigeon is straight and level in flight a heavy gun is ok but not on a jumping or diving target.

My best handicap shooting by far was done with a 32 inch (not 34 inch) Beretta 687 top single. It pointed right for me and had the pivot point right. If you get any gun too front heavy it's worthless on windy targets. My Model 12 was not as good in the wind on head wind targets as my 687 because it shot too low but was great with a tail wind. The 687 was fine on both.

 

AMEN Brad, Old men with heavy guns can not make the inflight corrections as their muscles are to weak. I'm a prime example of that problem. Roger C.
