CDC now says coronavirus 'does not spread easily' via contaminated surfaces.

"It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes," the CDC said on a now-archived page from March 28.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) NOW says "the novel virus “does not spread easily” from "touching surfaces or objects" — but experts warn that doesn’t mean it’s no longer necessary to take "practical and realistic" precautions in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

    I don't blame you Rookie.

    First is was gloves.
    Then masks.
    Then gloves AND masks.
Then don't buy masks because the hospitals need them.
Then go ahead and wear a mask if you want to.
Then everyone SHOULD wear a mask.
Then everyone MUST wear a mask.
    Then wipe everything down.

NOW, you don't have to wipe anything down?

    Yep, EXPERTS

The latest directions on what to do.

Before I retired I was in charge of 30 welders on 3 shifts. I had to give them directions on all the company policies.
If I would have given them the same kind of directions we have been given they would have found me hanging from the crane trolley.
