It isn't official but being discussed....... _______________________________ At least 55-57 yard targets. Angles wider than straight away from stations one and five. If the scorer says loss it is loss. No "I saw a piece". You pick your ammo up at the line. If the bird comes out whole it is shot or loss. Yep, that includes flippers. Live birds dont always fly straight. No failures to fire. Shoot or loss. You dont get extra live birds. The only target you dont have to shoot at is a broken target. Shoot and miss = loss. One ounce shells 1170 will be the standard ammo. 7 1/2 shot. 1st 25 everyone shoots from the 25. Then resquad. The next 75 handicap #targets broke first 25 = yardage. 19 yard minimum. 25 maximum. Mandatory percentage purse 40 30 20 10 Option will be available for longest run from the back. Other options also. Ties will be longest run from the back. Any ties after that shootoff from handicap yardage. ________________________________ This is still in the works. Vendors are getting involved. I report. You decide. Merlo out.
There will be added monies from WPT/Coveleski fund also added monies from the Americantrapshooter.com admin., assuming this can be finalized.
Can someone who is banned from ata compete? Also may need line judges behind each score keeper to help with the new format/rules.
This is not an ATA shoot. All can compete provided they are not in bad standing with the venue. Good note on the judge/score situation. This should be less work for the scorer. Scorers will not have to decide if birds are legal. It sounds like they all are legal unless broken prior to leaving the house. No failure to fire to keep track of. No discussions about whether the bird was hit. If scorer says loss then loss it is. Big news today is that a forum member has been named "Competition Czar." Someone mentioned 125 target race. That is being considered. That is my update for the day. I report. You decide. Merlo out
We will need a very good auctioneer, for either date. It could also be a silent auction by a bid board. Could be closed 10 min. prior the first shot being fired. AND ALL BIDS PAID IN FULL. One shot no redo's. Anyone that can lift a gun is welcome to shoot. ( this is only my reasoning, I do not make the rules) Roger C.
