Why would he want to get out? Three squares a day, a roof over his head, medical care at state expense, gov't paid classes to spend his time, and his own private cell to play with himself. Could it be he's lonely?
They should just give him a smaller cell and a bigger cell mate. He is just another crude person that happened to be able to play football. There is not enough money in the world to make a nice person out of low life people. Roger C.
