Pat Trap says the RUBBER BANDS need replaced @ 150,000 rounds, Our club Pat Trap Bands had over 250,000 rounds off them and boy were they stretched, it really, REALLY made a difference in the Targets when they were replaced, The Target Gripping Rubber edge was $15.00 and the Bands were $50.00 each or for a Pair do not remember.

Doc. I looked at that rubber band 2 years before Stewart took it on. It was off of an exorcize machine. No good then no good now. Pat added it to their machine because it did not damage the under side of their machine when it failed. No peice of rubber is as precise as a chrome vanadium steel spring. If you lead off on your squads, be observant of the first target called for on the next station. If you lollygag a little to long the first target will be low and short, this is due to the rubber band. Roger C.

Here is some fun reading with color graphs .....https://hockadayphysics.wikispaces.com/Work Energy Power

In short, "Hooke's Law" ..... "A spring stretches and un-stretches the same way" ..... "Rubber Bands do not obey Hooke's Law, but rather they show hysteresis" ..... "A stretched rubber band doesn't un-stretch the same way because it doesn't have enough energy"

All Pat trap lovers should read this. It explains what I have said about the rubber band from day one. Very inconsistant in the throwing of targets. It belongs on an exorcise machine. That is where the first ones I seen came from, with the company name ground off. Roger C.

Hysteresis is also a electric current used in a Transformer or coil Terminology on the Laminated Plates. You did not Know that I knew that did you?
