This idea of shooting for points and easy ass targets must end. Is there anyone out there that can remember shooting for cars? The big shot twits never get involved in these discussions. As if no one notices. The reason is they can’t shoot hard targets. They don’t want the handicap system to work. Bring on the cars! Screw the points!
History Buff and others made some posts on this thread about shooting for cars. https://www.americantrapshooter.com...t-take-to-make-trapshooting-great-again.4553/
The money is gone from all the shooting sports. Everyone wants a participation trophy and a tchotchke for showing up.
The solution is simple. Raise the price of that option to $300 instead of the $75 it used to be. We must account for Bidenflation of course. The venue that tries that one will own a car.
I think the starting price of a Chevrolet Malibu is right at 25 grand. Just think how much the compulsory purse would be. Do you think the A-B-C and D shooters would want to contribute $$$$$ dollars to this purse. How many AA shooters do you think this competition would draw? The days of the real money shoots in Vandalia after the the grand closed in some famous nearby town are long gone but not forgotten.
What's your average,it's just my guess but the top 10 in points would probably beat you even if you made the targets harder.
