I think the vase was full of pop corn when Dave picked it up. Good shooting. Two or three trophies there. Next time you see Dave ask him about the time he took Annie Oakley to the prom. Even she didn't win grand trophies in 8 decades.

 

Better double check your timeline there Brad. I’m pretty sure Frank Butler took Annie to her prom. Dave was teaching shop class at Annie’s high school by then and served as a chaperone for her prom. Easy to see how you got that confused.

Great shooting again my friend. Still a tough senior vet on any day. I think there is some questionable information in this thread. I do not think Dave has won events in eight decades. I think he has attended the grand in eight decades. But, i am sure he has not won an event in eight decades. I doubt he was winning events when he was five years old!!! He my have taken Anne to the prom when he was two years old.

 

50's 60's 70's 80's 90' 00's 10's 20's- This equals 8

 

Dave called and told me he won a shoot off for RUp in yesterdays handicap. He said he broke a twenty five. He got new glasses just before the sparta shoot. I think he shoots better now that he can see the birds again. The boys at Cloverdale better watch out this winter.

 

Dave has been shooting great handicap here at the grand. Won again last night. BTW, I was wrong. It has been 8 decades of winning for Dave.

 

David, I heard the rumor that you get a dozen donuts with every trophy. That is a very tasty incentive to shoot great. Roger C.
