PA State shoot Elysburg PA Krieghoff Challenge

Does anyone know the numbers drawn, and the eventual winner of the " Krieghoff Challenge "

 

From a vendor at the shoot,

"Congratulations to Chad Whitman, one of our loyal customers for winning the Krieghoff Challenge today at the PA State shoot. We are so happy for you and your family!"

His score in the event was 87. Lucky number 7 paid off.

 

For someone who has not shot the PA state shoot since the 80's, just what is the Krieghoff challenge thing?

From the PA site,

"One of the favorite highlights for trapshooters is the Krieghoff Challenge held on June 17th during this years event. Shooters who post a score ending in one of the two numbers drawn at random enter into a shoot-off for a Krieghoff Trap Special Combo shotgun."

They draw the numbers, from what I could find they were 5 and 7, and everyone with a score ending in one of those numbers gets to shoot off for the gun.
Break a 97,95, 87, 85 ,and so on and you are in.

Then the tough part starts.

 

Went to RJ Stuart and looked under " Score Board". If you double tap ?? in the search box all the names and scores come up.

I stopped counting names and scores ending in 5 or 7 at the letter M
Up to that point there were 124 shooters with those last two numbers. I don't know how low they go but there was one shooter that had a 47 so I assume he/she was in there.

. Just out of those 124 that I counted, there were 10 that shot just that event for the week and had a number that hit. Heck of a chance to win a new K gun

 

The plane is currently circling the airport.

 

Talked to some attendees, the winner of the Kriegoff did not pass the background check.

 

On final, At the outer marker, Flaps, Gear down,
Touchdown.

 

Shooter passed a background check and accepted his gun-so I hear.
