“Challenger” shotshells are hitting the market. I saw a mom & pop store called Runzo’s in NE Ohio had 5 pallets. 75 a flat. I expect more European ammo to fill in the gaps.
They were good shells when they cost $32.00 per flat, shot a lot of them ... Big Leo even shot them for a short period of time, he could not make them any good ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
I shot a couple of cases worth 2 years ago. The handicaps were hard hitting but they were very dirty. About one step above nobels. They definitely were not $75 a case. I want to think I paid low 60s at the grand for them.
Leo couldn't wait for the Federals, Leo really did not like them GB...............................DLS
Back when the Challengers first hit the market we tested them to see if they were worth a dam, the results as I seem to recall is they were all over the place and not consistent at all ... If they are going to be back I sure hope they have made some improvements, if they have they can probably grab a lot of business if they hold the line on prices ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
Exactly what we found out , chrono all over the place. Never knew what to expect. People who shot singles didn't seem to care, mostly casual shooters. They did seem to get better, or else people didn't complain or for the price they didn't care.
I was looking and found the invoice from when I bought them, bought two pallets of them, paid $32.00 per flat delivered ... I cannot make out the date on the invoice but its been awhile ... Found 4 boxes in the cabinet, handicap ( 3 dram) 71/2 's , never been opened ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
