WSRC- Until Further Notice there is No shooting Available on Site - US OPEN? 4-12-16

At 9:03 am eastern time I called the WSRC and was informed that "Until further notice there is no shooting available on site.

Is this another one of Gipson's great directions?

 

It was a recording. Same one that has been on there for months.

Try calling later in the day maybe.

Lots of shooting venues aren't open that early, especially in the middle of the week.

 

They don't respond to E Mail inquires either any time of the day or night ... Must be my computer ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Why don't you save us the trouble and up date everyone based on your knowledge of what is really happening ... Then you would be the Man, what did they tell you when you called later in the day or is that a secret ..? WPT ... (YAC) ...

I'm not insinuating anything about always being "right"

I would like to think on the positive side of the WSRC reopening instead of the negative as it seems most posters on this site do.

Seems most posters can't wait to say, "See, I told you so."

Maybe, just maybe, I will be able to say it. Won't know till it is announced for sure .

My post was intended to be factual only. Time - Date - Result

You brought in the emotional issues. You attacked the people on the site. You started with the "some posters" crap.

When you get into the realm of your attack ie blaming the site members for negativity then expect to get a kick in the shorts back.

People come to this site as we have the information. The emails no one can get. Original document postings. The follow ups etc. Maybe you can do a bit of research yourself and get the order from the governor to spend money on the WSRC.

There will have to be a paper trail. Until then put your big boy panties on and help us search for facts.

This site and the people on this site deal with what they know and what is factual as they know it to be, its called " REALITY" if accurate ... If someone (anyone) on this site says anything about the WSRC, Sparta, IDNR , or the ATA they get branded as being "Haters" by those who wear Rose Colored glasses, drink Kool aid and do not accept what is factual based on its not the way they want it to be (Emotions) no matter who proves what to who (whom) ... People have to learn to accept the facts be that as it may , we all hope the grand will be at the WSRC but what IF ..? People ask questions and cannot get answers, personally, I think that would not be the way to promote an event but probably more so hinder it if it does happen ... Saying its going to happen does not insure it will nor does it say it won't, but no correspondence to affirm it either way goes against what the shooters/ vendors rightfully deserve ... The E Mails go unchecked and are not responded to for some specific reason, seems to be avoiding the issues when asked about them, they do not know, or they do know and do not want to say ... To justify anything or everything by saying because and or just because is not the answer ... If the negotiations go smoothly and the grand is held at the WSRC in Sparta someone (the Members via the ATA ) and or Co Sponsors are going to pay dearly for that to happen, call it an experience of a lifetime ... This cost in actuality should be passed on to those who attend and not by those who choose not to for what ever or no reason at all ... Common sense would tell you why should they pay if they do not want to be there ...? 3 days and counting, then we will see and we will all know Maybe if they want to tell anyone, anything ... The ATA professes to promote trapshooting, by not saying anything to anyone, does not promote the sport and does with good reason cause doubt ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Based on your logic, what do you think Glock paid to have their match? Did involve some big negitioation? Was the governor involved? Are there major lawsuits pending from the lack of mantience on the facility? Did Glock pay the past due power bill?

Great questions , you might want to ask pumpgunbob , he seems to have a handle on the incidentals ... "Glock" has matches all over the country and world for that matter , they are also not owned by the people (members) who shoot "Glocks" but they do have one hell of a following compared to the ATA and the members ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

It will be interesting to see what, if anything changes going forward with the lease. Thanks for your insight on Glock.

 

Loudone / WPT....the Glock usages look much like the old SCTP lease. It is on the forum somewhere. To busy to look it up.

Not much electric used outside during the day. Shooting in a pile of dirt does not cost much.

Talked my old trapshooting friend who works part time for Zoli the other nite. They have a building at sparta. "Hey are you going to be working the building at spart"? "Haven't heard a dang word about it" he replied. Then he said something like "that whole spart thing is one big joke". Next he said "why don't we team up for the Michigan Spring Team shoot? "You got that accurate, let's do it!" So nice to be able to plan for a nice shoot.
On a side note, this will be my first full year of shooting (registered/non registered) after a brief lay off of over 30 years. I had no idea when i joined back up that the ATA was in such (you fill in this spot) shape.

 

I know of one vendor who said he was notified and have heard rumors of a few others but they are not confirmed ... I hope the ATA can pull it off, I won't bet anything on it knowing how many of the Politicos policies work (as in not at all) and having lived and worked in Illinois for way to many years ... The only thing that is certain in Illinois is there is nothing that is certain, don't believe it until you see it and then make sure someone else see's it also so they can say they saw it also ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

The ATA is probably thinking about taking the matter into its own hands, they figure if a bunch of people show up with guns, who is going to stop them from having the shoot at the facility ... This ought to be good, wait and see ... 2 days and counting until the big announcements come out, I'm sure ...
Illinois Government is thinking about moving to Indiana, they say the cost of living is cheaper and they can start over debt free ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

Don't forget the TEST question later on.
