Hi , The Hodgen Reloaders guide has a recipe for a Winchester compression shell. Is that the new, or the old Winchester shell. Thanks, Pat
The compression shell(the old hull) has more of a taper inside than the new HS hull. The HS hull can hold more powder and shot. The recipe for the HS hull will not work in the older hull. That's why the Hodgens reloaders guide lists bot hulls. Both hulls load good if you follow the recipe for that hull. I personally like the new HS hull because it will hold more powder and shot.
