Don't be surprised if Winchester isn't kissing the asses of Trapshooters. They were awarded a contract for the new ammo replacing the 5.56. The new cartridge is the 6.8 X 51 mm, call the Next Generation Squad Weapon.
based on the quality of the current aa ammo, id say they already gave up on supporting shotgun sports. remington has the market.
Not surprising unfortunately. Winchester’s focus has clearly shifted to military contracts with the 6.8×51, so competitive trap shooters probably aren’t a priority anymore.
None of the mfg have ever needed clay target shooters. Clay target ammo is by far the smallest portion of the market.
SKEET MAN, THE TARGET AMMO HAS ALWAYS BEEN A SMALL PART OF THE AMMO SALES OF ALL MFGRS. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT IT. IF IT IS PROFITAGLE TO INDUSTRY, THEY CARE ABOUT THE PRODUTS, IT IS JUST NOT PRIORITISED. ROGER C.
