Wilkinson 31.5” Type 4 Step Rib Barrel

Nice condition 31.5” Wilkinson 4mm step rib barrels. .740 bore with Briley S-2 thins walls, 8 total. SK (2), LM (1), Mod (1), .025 (2), IM (1), .030 (1). Barrels are ported and blueing in good condition other than normal scuff marks under forearm area. Any pictures with coloring or bad area are from lighting/glares. Barrels in nice condition and bores bright and shiny.

I did forget to mention until someone else asked, but it did have a Add-a-rib installed at one time which has been filled in notes in attached photo

 

Does the rib taper down from 11x7 mm or is
It 11x11 parallel? Hard to tell from the photo.

We're the S-2s refitted by Wilk? Typically find them in a .735 bore.

 

I bought the barrels used, it does mic .740 but I don’t know when they were fitted. I bought them as is, Both barrels marked 18.4

 

I did speak with the gentleman I bought the barrels from and the Briley chokes were added some years after Wilkinson did the work so that they could be used to shoot sporting clays as well. Briley installed the chokes based on the barrel bore as it is now, so they would have been the ones to select the S-2 chokes. These barrels have been shot and perform very well per the previous owner.

I’ve had a coup questions related to the S2 choice so wanted to pass this info along.
