Walmart federals

I shot with a guy Sunday that was using Walmart federal. He had 3 blooper type misfires out of a 100 shells. Had a heck of a time getting the wad out of the barrel. Found out he had 2 more the week before. Has anyone else had any problems.

 

I have not had that many in over 30,000 rounds, maybe its the gun ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

I have not had any problems with the WM Federal 4 packs or the regular flats of Top Guns

 

A couple weeks ago a fellow shooter bought 10 of those Federal 4 packs from Walmart. In several boxes the bottom shells were solid rust. I mean solid, no way would they comes close to fitting in a gun yet alone expect them to fire. Walmart told him it was his problem as they don't accept returns on ammo. I seen the ammo and it was bad. Obviously somewhere along the line they were exposed to water. He was not a happy camper.

 

As BPD20 stated, last year I had a problem with a few shells in a regular flat of Top Guns. Can't remember exact issue, but they were not fit to put in gun. I took pictures and got the lot number and contacted customer service in Anoka, Mn. they sent nice letter and about a week later UPS delivered a full flat to my front door!

 

I have shot approx 3000 rounds of the Federals 7.5 and 8s and not one bad shell yet, Had one that the plastic by the crimp was crushed like some one tossed the box and it landed on that corner of the shell but it pushed in my Browning kinda hard went bank crushed the bird all good.
