What do you prefer for Annie games? More velocity or more shot or maybe some may say both but that may increase recoil sensitivity?

There's proof in long-yardage shooting that Pattern Density rules the sky and that a "1200 plus" load of good round hard shot has a greater chance
of winning most games ! Also there's a lot to be said about adding Buffer in the right amount ! Velocity has helped lighter weight shot materials
but standard lead below 4% antimony in most factory loads just can't handle to much speed . The more velocity we add to a 3 gram load not
only does Set-Back cause deformation but radial compression as , the payload tries to squeeze through the chokes taper , deforms the pellets !
I do agree some pellets will get there quicker and we have powders that will send payloads out the barrel at 1500/1600 fps but , there is a price
to pay for all this initial velocity , that is , just a little faster than our manageable recoiling loads !

Then what velocity range are you recommending and amount?

800 X , Blue Dot or Longshot under 1 3/8 oz does a nice job but only the patterning Board tells no lies !
I like loads up to 1300 maybe a little more but I still fall back to Pattern density rules with trigger time !
