Event Cost is a suggested 75.00 for early sign up prior to 1 Sept and 100.00 for late sign up. (an unheard of bargain for a 250 bird match)
Tickets are transferable but not refundable


The Days Events Will Be:

3pm - Friday Intro/Waivers/Gun Insp.
4pm - Field 1 & 2 Open for squading
6pm - Open kitchen. Fend for yourselves
7-10pm - Night Birds

9am - Saturday Intro/Waivers/Gun Insp.
10am - Shooting Begins
Box 1 = 16yd ATA Trap
Box 2 = 21yd Handicap Trap
Box 3 = Skeet
Box 4 = Turkey Shoot/Polish Duck Blind
Box 5 = Annie Oakley
Box 6-10 = Shooters Choice
12 Noon = Lunch
3-5pm - Shoot offs and awards
6pm - Club 60 Meal in Town

we wont be offering ammo at the counter due to the shortage. make sure to bring at least 10 boxes. most bring 20.

 

the pot luck is up in the air not because of covid issues, but because of low attendance. no sense in setting up a pot luck if we only have a handful coming. if the numbers go up, it may change. stay tuned.

 

i have 6 on the fence as of today. historically, 90% of my attendees sign up when the meet gets a little closer. it use to be the other way around when we had to cap the meet at 20. but like everything else, times have changed and most people now blow thru skeet and trap on their way to something else on their bucket list.

 

our goal is always to get at least 10. if youd like to come, pm me and lock in! if you cant make it, but would like to help by donating for a trophy, pm me.

 

vcpf no longer can offer ammo at the counter. two reasons...... 1. 5 different gauges, 4 different manufacturers in 2 different payloads, it all sat there for 10 years, and no one hardly bought any of it...... and 2. the ammo crisis. i moved it off site and sold it to shooters who were glad to receive it elsewhere.
i can still reload for anyone desperately in need, but it isnt going to be cheap. my reloading supplies are now hens teeth and in order to restock, i would have to pay an arm and a leg for it until national prices come down. be advised.

heads up bob. the man i asked to cut my lawn this summer double crossed me and walked off the job on day one after we left for va.
i can only imagine what its going to look like 6 months from now. i plan on doing what i can, being im getting there 5 days prior.
so if you bring someone, let him know the situation. im going to be pretty embarrassed if its not cleaned up for you guys.

vanzant has always offered proof shells at its meets. this oct will be no different.
if we are all in this together, then we need to show it as an interest group of like minds. I was always taught, actions speak louder than words.
time for the little guys to show the big guys how its done. ;>

 

just a reminder that I will bring rifle and pistol primers to the shoot and will trade for shotgun primers straight across if anyone needs them. lmk in advance so ill know how many to bring. I still have 3000 small pistol, large pistol, and reg large rifle left.

well, here we are....the new official shoot and hoot website. with shotgunworlds new website update, it has too many issues. so all vanzant info will be posted here, including post shoot pics and announcements. good bye sgw. it was a long 16 years. hello ATC!
help me get the word out to all the shooters and my buddies that im here now. I wont be able to access pm's on that site ever again without extreme problems.

 

our new fellow cliff is hoping to bring a buddy. hes confident that he can succeed. so much so, that he bought an extra ticket in hopes of hawking it before the shoot. THAT is the kind of help vanzant needs. I wish I knew more like him.

well, I can say im ready for guests. took 3 days of cutting, but the range is good to go. a slight musty odor remains in the club but we are working the best we can on that. wiping walls etc...im going to try to weed whack the stations if the whacker works. but at least now I can see them. held a 6 hour private lesson sat for one shooter and the machines worked fine. so im happy.
lets just pray for clear skies for the shoot!

btw, be careful of a rut in the middle of the downhill slope to the driveway when you first come in off the road. neighbor hasn't fixed it yet.

I called joe, colobob, dustin, and his son. none of them pick up and are ignoring all my calls or email.
so I will assume they are not only not coming but done with vanzant. I will no longer call them. they were good friends, but it appears to be the new america where no one returns a communication, claiming to be too busy. odd. tech was suppose to make our lives easier and faster, yet busy seems to always win.

kentons 25 straight hat! when we all shot it, the wind blew it into the nearby tree. i had to blast it off the limb. the hat took it like a pro.
