Go with the sugar-free Kool-Aid, you stand a very good chance at being diabetic with the high sugar version.

This is not a good thing but it will force the ATA to recognize and accept reality with hopes they can revitalize the sport of trapshooting and in doing so, the grand American ... This should come as no surprise to anyone being as its been posted and re posted so many times in the past few months that a person would have to be brain dead to not of seen it coming ... The claims of exaggerated amounts of money generated could not help any ones position with the loses continuing to grow and accumulate for the past 11 years ($23 + Million and counting) ... There will be broken hearts but they will be mended as soon as the ATA announce's a place for the shoots in the future for those who care to attend ... The ATA had better get ready to adjust and except the fact they are at the disposal of a few select clubs that can entertain the possibility of hosting the grand American, with hopes of making it the Grand American once again ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Both posts are old news. As far as shooting is concerned....Closed.

The Collegiate Trapshooting Tourney has already moved the big shoot in October. What else would a trapshooting association want with the grounds. Fishing and wedding receptions doesn't help the ATA.

The 600-1000 person shoot is going to be held at the CC. Who has the broken hearts? The folks betting on the ATA and the shooters are the losers.

    Terrible waste of money.

Fantastic Direction indeed: Now don't everyone feel better. I know I do. I wonder who will be first to sign up for such a good deal, going into business with the State of Illinois. Truthfully I do admire Leonidas and AZCOTRAP for their attempted positive spin. Brad

So tell me how reciting "I told you so" ten thousand times over a 10 year span can resolve any problem? Sure it is a mess, but it will never be fixed if nothing is done. Nothing is done as a result of constant bickering or "woe is us." Some do not see this as a problem, maybe it is not. The ATA has been around longer than any one of has lived. I suspect it will be after all of us are dead. Maybe there is one year without a Grand, so what?

Agreed it is a disaster doing business with any government, local. county, state or federal, but guess what? People do it all the time. The State of Illinois is a big welfare state. Part of that welfare is the WSRC for trap shooters. Either accept the welfare and the conditions that come with it or be independent and build your own, your choice. Just don't fall for the BS Hollywood line "if you build it, they will come."

The "Fantastic Direction Program" was just getting ready to begin and turn things around for all concerned ... Lynn (The Talking Head ) Gipson should choke on the words "20 millions dollars plus into the economy in the local area and region", if he is ever called on to utter them again ... I would love to know where he (Lynn Gipson) gets his information / numbers and if he thinks any information he has would be more accurate that the information the State of Illinois has gathered over the past 10 plus years ... Lynn( The TH) Gipson makes trap shooters look like a bunch of ignorant Hill Billy's (no offense intended for any and all Hill Billy's out there) with his claims of exaggerated amounts of income generated by the facility in the region and or Sparta proper for that matter ... I cringe when I see him talking like he knows something that nobody else knows and can only hope its scripted and part of his job to spread the good news, so a part of his integrity can retained to some degree ... The ATA has made MAJOR mistakes and Lynn Gipson is a continuation of that as the spokes person for the ATA and shooting industry ... (NEWS FLASH) ---- The State of Illinois has the numbers that have been generated by the facility so do not debate the point with them unless you want to continue to present yourself (Lynn Gipson) as a FOOL ... Take into consideration the State of Illinois tax payers having lost more than $23 million dollars over the past 11 years and try to convince anyone that this was a good, sound, and logical business plan, if you can ... Please define "Fantastic Direction" so we can all have another laugh at your expense , you got set up as the fall guy and sold your soul for the position you have as the ED ($116.000 plus) to take the heat off of the EC and BOD, nobody is that dumb to not realize that at some point ... Open mouth, insert foot ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
