Last year the Illinois politicians announced the closing of WSRC about this time. Will this be a repeat?
A 6 month stop gap measure was signed at the end of June so any news probably will not come until December at the earliest.
Many things are at a cross roads. Camping contract leases due and a possible lease lawsuit posted. The lack of attendance etc. It is not where I would invest your money.
There obviously isn't a whole hell of a lot to be proud of or boast about or there would be banners waving and everyone involved saying I told you so since the grand ... The best thing that can happen for and to the ATA is the State of Illinois keep the facility open and operational but without a considerable amount of business that will probably not happen ... There may be a moment when reality struck and its time to step back and re evaluate the situation but without any real numbers that would be impossible to come to a conclusion ... Based totally on what is known the WSRC is still a loser taking the total number of entry's into consideration ... Time will tell, sooner or late they will have to post the numbers ... WPT ...
