Roger: You are not that old, I was born in 1941, I believe I am older than you. I lost my virginity to a married woman

They (Winchester) obviously had parts stock piled to the rafters and decided to make a big run on them with the parts they had on hand ... I have several (all) pre 64 Model 12's ( 5 Pigeons, 2 engraved ) but the Y Models sure got some nice factory wood compared to them ... I lost my virginity also, but know its around here someplace ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Doc, I have you by 5 years. Bill, Herb Orre bought all of the remaining Mod. i2 parts. He was able to assemble about 50 guns, they are all marked ORRE . If you can find one it is a rare pc. He was selling them for $1000.00 back then. Roger C.

I would consider myself in the market for one (Orre), cannot imagine what it would be worth but the History in itself would be worth the price of admission ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Winchester and Herb Orre must have felt that I was going to Promote them in Later years, and made a big run on them, celebrating my Graduation in 1959.
Just kidding, but they are one hell of a good gun, History Proved it, and they are still going today.

    Doc,
Were you aware of the I think it was 59 model 12's that Herb was able to assemble from the parts he purchased from Win.? They were all marked on th mag. tube with Herb's name. A certain collector item. Roger C.

Here's an old clipping I've had for at least 20 years and just came across it recently. Hope it is helpful to others.

There was a fellow in NJ that also aquired a bunch of Winchester parts and assembled many Model 12s. His name was Alex Freeman.
