It was a Competetive Course, I liked the UPSIDE DOWN FRYING PAN Green, the moderators were talking about. GB............................DLS
I saw the Michelson Stop of the ball rolling down from the above Green. He took the 2 stroke penalty w/grace and agreed with it. Was that a Dave Shaefer style shell sticking in Bbl? GB................................DLS
Sorry Gary but I disagree. There was no "grace" in his actions. He "took" his 2 stroke penalty cause he had no choice and it sure beat being disqualified for his intentional action. This was the f-ing U.S. Open. What he did was an intentional violation of the rules to, admittedly, stop his ball from rolling off of the green after he hit a bad putt. You want to talk about "chicken shit," what he did was the definition of it. And, in the U.S. OPEN. Truth is, Phil has always been a bit of an entitled whiner, despite his image as a swashbuckling family man.
I was astounded of his actions, but they used the rules they had in place, They the OPfficials called an Immeadiate meeting to discuss his actions, did not wait months like the ATA. Disqualification should have been done In my Opinion. GB................................DLS
US Open leader is at PAR- EVEN, I feel that is high for a major GOLF EVENT, they atre on the Last Hole right now, still playing., 6:24 pm EST KOEPKA leads by 2 strokes, 2nd is +2, Koepka is Champion. GB..............................DLS
That's the only golf tournament I watch. Why, because the best have to be their best to challenge the open. To win, most of the time one has to shoot par or maybe one or two under. I really enjoy watching the frustrations, and determination the pro's show in the open. As well as some of the magnificent shots.
That US OPEN Course was tough, the Hole Placement on Greens w/slope, were deciding factors, their Putting stood them FAR APART. DID you see Nicholson stop the rolling Ball down the slope? He didn't quit, which I felt he should have done or be disqualified. GB.................................DLS
Usually when you see masters the winner is under Par, They were trying to Make Par at this tournament, The last tournament Today was won by a score 17 under Par I believe, The last I seen he was 17 Under Par. GB..........................DLS
