Which Smith & Wesson Revolver is the best?

Please include your reasons for your choice, i.e personal protection, target, hunting bobcat, collecting, etc.

    Thanks!

I am looking for a 351pd 22 mag if anyone out there has one. Just my opinion.

    Conceal carry.

Model 629 with a 3" barrel. If you don't kill them with the bullet, you will burn them with the flame or knock them out with the concussion!

I had a Model 27 -3 1/2 -357 Mag, was a display gun from Smith and Wesson, factory black chrome, target sights, grips etc ... Was a Display Model in a presentation case, but I shot it ... Very little recoil for a Mag ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

MODEL 29.jpg If you mean the "best" as in iconic, then IMO, the 6-1/2" Model 29-2

MSRP when Dirty Harry was released in 1971 was somewhere around $196.00 to $237.00

    I paid $410.00 in 1973 and sold it in 1975 for $550.00

    This one wasn't mine. I couldn't find a 6-1/2 so I bought it's big brother, the 8-3/8

And if the standard Remington or Winchester 240 grain stuff wasn't enough recoil for ya, you could always run a few cylinders of this little 180 Grain gem thru it. SUPER VEL.JPG

NICE!!!!! Target grips (football), target trigger and target hammer. 8 3/8" can hit a Bull Moose in the eye at 100 yards. Ka-Booooom!

I would like to have one of the "Big Brothers" if I could find one, but probably have to give one of my kids for it, that would not be a bad deal really ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
