It takes a lot of time and effort to put a shoot on that was as great as the one that just finished today. I think EVERYONE worked very hard so the rest of us could have fun. Nice to see so many of my friends (especially the folks from Michigan). All the evening social events were great, especially the boys from Fairfield Gun Club's world famous fried chicken. We will not tell anyone the "secret" fixings. I personally want to thank who ever trained the young folks working the trap line. On every trap every day, these young folks treated all of the shooters with respect. I was thanked and told to have a great rest of your day SIR. Again, thank you for a GREAT JOB DONE. Cannot wait for the Buckeye.
Don't know about the fried chicken, I didn't have that experience. However, I have to agree with the statement from Big Papa on the trapline workers, all that I saw were polite, friendly, and did a great job.
I forgot to mention and put a BIG THANK YOU out to the "water wagon" lady. Just another first class act from the CC having her deliver cold water to the shooters. With the virus thing they did not put the normal water coolers out. The lady was very kind and done just a wonderful job. GREAT PERSON for the job. I hope she is back next month at the Buckeye.
While were thanking people for the GREAT shoot. I would like to thank the 2 unknown shooters that came to my rescue when my electric scooter could not navigate the rather large gravel stones between the concrete walkway. They just picked up the scooter with me in it to a better part. Thanks YOU.
Once again, Cardinal showed how to run a shoot. Had a chance to talk with the "water lady". A bit embarrassed I did not get her name. She did an amazing job and really enjoyed what she was doing. She worked thru the heat of the day with energy and enthusiasm that was entertaining to watch and much appreciated. Just a class act.
The water lady’s name is Kellie. I hope I’ve spelled it correctly because we didn’t ask her which spelling she uses. She did an outstanding job!
I got my program today for the Cardinal Classic. All though I could not make it getting them out earlier to us in Canada is really important.
Terry, From what I have been told, YOU and the others may be able to be released from captivity the day after things are over at the Cardinal. 21st of September. Of course that is if your government doesn't extend your stay again. Amazing how this Covid thing has put the screws to a lot of people this year. Think you might make it to the Dollar this winter ?
