There was a very interesting thread up on this forum a few days ago. I suppose I can't refer to the unmentionable term which was the center of the thread. (I guess it's kinda like Harry Potter and Voldemort. "He who cannot be named.") But I am a little confused. I thought one of the center tenets of this site, in response to "he who cannot be named," was that history would not be erased. So, what's up with that?
It's only common sense to not post something in the classifieds that has nothing to do with the actual selling of an item(like this thread). It probably would have a better chance of surviving if it were posted in a more appropriate forum, at least maybe. Expect this one to be deleted also. As good as this site is, you can't expect a free for all.
Whether we like it or not, there's always going to be somebody who needs to yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater.
A more than reasonable point David. I thought about posting it in off topic threads but as the original was posted here, and was inquiring about selling stuff, I though here was appropriate. This is where I came to follow that thread. I am not trying to stir any trouble. It is a legit question. I mean, do we remake history here as is done constantly in that place "about which we should not speak?" If it was taken down as being in an incorrect location shouldn't it just be moved or shouldn't we have a note closing the thread? We don't erase history, right?
