Many months ago we heard about the Sparta gal that was allegedly told to strip at the WSRC. Searching the net I have found nothing. SPARTA — A former employee at the state-run World Shooting and Recreational Complex near Sparta alleges her supervisor attempted to force her to perform a strip tease on top of a picnic table last year during a party of uniformed state officials. Meggs' refusal to strip cost her a job at the complex, she alleges in a complaint filed with two government agencies. Anyone have a link to the outcome?
If I remember correctly this happened in September 2013 and the newspaper reports appeared in July 2014. The federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission investigated the claim by Christine Meggs, of Marissa, and dismissed the complaint because they were not able to determine whether there were violations of federal laws. She was approved to file a complaint against the IDNR but I don't know that she ever did.
The sign of the times in action when people would rather file suit than work ... The courts are full of cases that go unfounded and just dry up and go away ... Sexual discrimination is the newest route to retirement and usually based on BS or wish full thinking ... I know of a case where a female bartender filed a claim when a customer asked for some head on his beer, if he would of said with his beer it would of been a different thing ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
HB, I'll ask my nephew and his wife that lives in Marissa and knows this woman. Possibly they know why she didn't follow through on her complaint. HAP
