Is it necessary to switch to a different wad for straight wall hulls? I have been loading AA for years with the Spolar wad. Recently purchased a few flats of Challenger shells and was going to see how they load. Should I use a different wad for the Challenger hulls?
Yes especially if you want the best performance from your reloads. I would say it a must reloading the Challenger Hulls
I used to load the challenger paper hull with the XL-1 wad and it shot very well. for 16's and first shot of doubles. I used 17.4 of red dot and a rem. primer. Roger C.
