Solo 1000

If you are dropping 17 gr of 700x with a 1 1/8th of shot, how much Solo 1000 do you have to drop to duplicate it?

 

Maybe I should rephrase my question.... I am using an STS hull and a fig 8 wad with a Fed 209 primer. Does anyone know approx how many grains of Solo 1000 I should try to get just under 1200 fps?

It's discontinued and no longer available, therefore I can't find a website for it...... I thought someone here might have had some experience with it, but apparently not.

 

loaded it for years with those hulls. 17.5 grains of solo. Soft, fast, & clean. Wish I could get more solo.

 

Perfect. Thank you. I loaded a few last night with 17.8 - 18.0 grains. I'm going to test them out this week before I load more. Any idea of what speed you were getting with 17.5?

I liked the solo 1000 use to buy in 25lb containers

 

I too loaded the fantastic solo 1000 in Rem hulls. I used 18 grains with the claybuster wad, and crushed targets. I used what I called the cllaybuster diamond eight wad. God, I wish I could still get that powder.
