If there's anyone out there with a low IQ and cash to burn, I believe you might have a good chance to become a Signature Sponsor at this years maybe Grand American. Given a tight economy and a general lack of interest in this years maybe Grand American, I would think the ATA would be very amenable to any offer of support. Gone are the days individuals failed to see their donations as only enabling a bad situation to be furthered by an inept leadership. Now, today, it appears its time to strike to make an offer if you're into wasting money for recognition. I recommend shooting for a Signature Sponsor title if you can waste a few thousand but if you're stuck in a rut and can only offer, say tens or maybe hundreds, then shoot for having your name on a large banner or similar recognition. Who knows? While many believe there won't be an event at the WSC some do and for whatever amount you can afford to throw away you might have recognition that's others might see. You might be able to have a banner seen by hundreds. I'm sure if the event fails to take place your money would be eventually refunded minus the necessary handling fees.
Seitz9010: Not sure what what you are trying to get at when you slam people that may want to help the ATA. I donate to a lot of causes that I feel good about, WOUNDED WARRIORS, AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY, NRA, and the ATA to mention a few. If you think I am wasting my money, I think it is none of your business. Ron Burdick
Ron, Not sure the amount of help the ATA needs (Financially) will be available to them, I don't see it as a slam but more so as reality ... The membership has not been told what amount of money it will take to afford the grand at the WSRC in Sparta, Ill (not negotiated as of yet) ... You made the comment one time about $4 million (on the test) and I think you are probably close to right or close enough for piece work ... The amount of money the ATA has on hand and invested is more than enough to finance the shoot on its own, the only problem is they stand to lose a lot of membership money in doing so and will probably lose a lot more member support when it fails to produce even to the break even point ... If any one wants to invest in a losing proposition it is truly no body else's business but that person making the donation, that does not change the point that is being made in reality ... I don't know many people who would donate and not even know how much it will take to make it all come together and become reality without some assurance that their donation will make a difference like it does in other causes ... There is so much that is not being said, silence speaks volumes and a lot of people are listening (reading ) and wondering why nothing is being broadcast so they can even make plans for sure and they will not make them based on an MOU (toilet paper) basically ... There are many causes that deserve peoples support to fulfill a mission (continual), can't do it if you do not know what the mission is ... People claim to of seen absolute proof the grand is going to be in 2016, yet not one person or the ATA has posted anything as any form of absolute proof ... If I were to donate towards them having the grand and the grand don't happen, I want my money back if the grand don't happen, I don't want them to put my money towards the presidents new gun or EC's expenses ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
Ron, I guess the sarcasim sailed right over your head! Please feel free to spend your money in any way you desire.
Ron Comparing propping up a failed ATA venue to a Wounded Vet Group? In one case you have the enabler intending to do good but doing harm. Another instance intending to do good and doing good. The enabler always intends to do good. The mom that gives the kid an alibi when the popo knocks on the door. Mom giving her child more money that will be spent on drugs. Propping up a venue that is draining our sport. Not much difference. No one gets healthier until the enabler gets smarter. jmho (my earlier post) ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' From Dr. Phil. Enabler An enabler is a person who, acting out of a sincere sense of love, loyalty and concern, steps in to protect, cover up for, make excuses for and become more responsible for the chemically dependent person.
Doesn't seem to be any news on this years signature sponsor. I wonder if the sponsorship will be an earth shattering amount or will it end up to be a drop in the bucket?
Be a signature sponsor. Give them millions. Might get you in the HOF. And it gets you the highly sought after square badge.
