If some of you younger shooters don't know the name Skookum you don't have to worry about the quality. These were THE sweaters to buy. They used to have just a smaller leather piece where the butt goes and the new ones have the long Sporting pad but that looks like the only difference. I think I still have one around here from 40 years ago. They wear like iron. They used to make 2 different weights. What they called a 3 ply for spring and fall and a 6 Ply for when it got really cold.If you can find a tag showing that it would probably help. Good luck, if it was a 40 it would have been mine 2 minutes after you put it up.
They also have a vest type liner which carries the weight of the sweater and the shells in the pocket. I also have one that I’ve used for years and have no complaints.
