Went Wed. afternoon. WOW. Big or bigger than the Ohio State Shoot. Good weather so far. Shooting everywhere, Trap, Skeet, Sporting, Etc. Vendors appear to be doing well. Almost needed a Cop to direct traffic in front of Guns Unlimited. If all the youth would stick around, Trapshooting would be in good shape. Regards.....Gerald
"If all the youth would stick around, They won't, because they won't be able to afford it. Not their fault, they just won't have the money to stay with it. "Trapshooting would be in good shape." Nope, registered trapshooting would be the same. Just more dues and fees paying members. They might get a couple hundred more "kids" shooting the GAH at that place in IL. but they would need every kid that pulled a trigger at the CC to get near the number it had before the move.
I hope the kids take in the the OHIO Trapshooting Hall of Fame Museum, and learn a little about Trap Shooting History.
I spent a hour or so Wednesday in the Museum talking with the lady in charge. We talked old times and shooters, many of which have passed. Only people who came in were looking for directions or vendors locations. Regards....Gerald
I'll bet the Lady was Betty Peterson. She does a wonderful job with that museum Sad that the younger generation doesn't seem to have the interest that we old timers do in the history of the sport. Someday they will, and that's why a museum is so important. Glad you had the time to sit and converse. It is a truly wonderful place. A part of my personal Mini-Mu attached.
I was looking for Ms. Peterson who was not there. I guess she is a very busy person. I have an item to donate to the Museum if they are interested. I like yours as well. Regards.....Gerald
