SCTP and the ATA or what's left of it........SOS

So let's talk goals and management.....

The SCTP is directed by the industry. Decisions are made to enhance the sport. Selling guns, ammo, and of course promoting shooting sports.

The latest major decision made by the SCTP is the decade long contract made with the Cardinal Center.

End result....repeated mega growth in the competitions. It looks like Vandalia with all those kids running around. And chased by parents with money!

There are no bonuses given for profits!

And now comes the ATA.

The ATA director has a huge salary with bonuses stemming from profit making activities. Corruption is rampant. Ex 2012Pull (often noted on this site). Decisions are made that affect the bottom line of a Director while the Executive Committee sits in the waiting for their free gun.

The ATA was just given a proposal from the Cardinal Center that could have increased participation at the Grand by 50%. Like the SCTP they could have had a 10 year contract. That was not in the Gipson plans!

One org is about the creating more shooters. The other about free guns to the executives and the director's bottom line.

So why is the SCTP doing so well?
