The Cupola that Brad asked for comes tumbling down at 3:05 minutes on this clip. This whole 15 minute clip can be hard to watch for some.
Those were the thoughts of many I sent this to. Not what I had envisioned at all for that money. My wife and I had visited the old museum several times and it was always so bright and cheerful looking. She pointed out to me that the new one looks dull and drab in comparison. Perhaps in person the lighting is better than in the movie. Neither of us can imagine the dust that is going to collect in the "barn". Someone will be pretty busy keeping that under control. And the guns, OMG I hope the air handlers never go out. Patina (Rust) on those lovely pieces would not be good. I am hoping that there is a backup generator for the power, and an alarm system to notify someone close by if the AC / heat goes out. At Vandalia someone was in the building almost every day, so if there was a problem it was attended to quickly. Time will tell how this goes. With the State owning the building, it's anyone's guess.
