Looking for some information on a Remington 90t 34 inch barrel. Is it a good gun and what is the going price. Thank You Joey
Great gun - built by Kolar --just make sure they had the updated locking block and forearm- Sold all four I had last year -- $1900 to $2700 for my four
They are great guns, and relatively easy to work on. Look at the ejector trip rod, center upper, and the cocking rod, lower center in the joint of the receiver for chips, or cracked of ends. Because these guns were last manufactured in 1997, some parts are becoming scarce. Most parts can be obtained from Kolar. HPAR's sell for around $2700 + or -. Low ribs usually sell for less, around $2300 + or -. These would be in 90 percent condition or better. There were updates, but those were not absolutely necessary. If they have not been done yet, they probably won't need them. Check to see how easy the forend comes off. If normal no worries. If it is extremely hard to pull off, it will need the update. To check for this update take the iron off and look for a silver half moon shape were the forend iron pushes against the forend lug on the barrel. If no update, it will look like a small black rectangle shaped piece in it's place. The bolt angle was at around 10 degrees for the guns before around 2500. The HPAR's started around this time, so most of those were updated at the factory. If the top lever is moving when fired, it may need the new lesser angle on the bolt, around 8 degrees. Another fix, though not as permanent, would be a new top lever return spring set. That may last for 5000 rounds, 10,000 rounds, or 25. Usually, it is long enough to not be bothersome, and will be gradual.
