I know that he manual says to back out the nut 10 turns as starting point. I am curious as to the number of turns you are using on the set screw. I am using 1 1/8 oz 3 dram shells. 10Tenner
Do not let thr stock collapse completely ... I had enough tension to where it moved just enough to absorb the recoil and not transfer it to my shoulder ... I would check it from time to time and adjust if needed, seemed to hold the adjustment well ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
Tenner, The lighter the tension the more pressure that will be put on your wrists. I put mine at 7-9 turns out. VDT says to make it much lighter. The most difficult thing about the pfs is knowing when to quit changing it.
Most shooters have the tension set 8 to 10 turns which is about right depending on personal likes. I tried one of mine with very little tension, when you rested the gun on the pad the stock collapsed slightly it still absorbed the recoil but had a lot of travel. I usually set mine 9 to 10 turns.
