The place was there for well over 100 years. But people moved in around it and then moaned on and on about it. Now it is a school going in those acres that has driven them out somehow. A grade school I do believe. A place where little buzz-saw guys and girls can turn in only 10 years into texting tornadoes who live on FaceBook and can say things like, 'What's up dawg,' and, 'Yo, not much b*tch.'
From their FB page Hey everybody, In case anybody has any doubts, the info below on Spokane GC’s anx over selling their club grounds should convince you that life is weird. It’s never cut-and-dried. It’s always a trade-off,and nobody ever has the right to a guarantee of one-sided prosperity. We here in Walla Walla want Spokane to get a good deal for their property. We want a bigger, newer, better Spokane Gun Club. We are all in this together, people. Whether or not you belong, or have ever belonged, to SPC, we need it, even if it takes a few years to get it in place. As most everyone knows, Walla Walla Gun Club had been in a similar fix for the last 10 years. It took that long for us to come to an agreement with the Port of Walla Walla on a new lease. But we persevered, and now are the proud owners of a 50-year lease at a much reduced monthly rent. Similarly, it may take SPC longer than they might wish to find and construct a new home. It’ll definitely take some legal horsepower to get a conditional use permit, which could very well eat up a chunk of their cash. But think of the future without a place to shoot! It’s the bullet that has to be bit if a huge chunk of Washington State is to continue in the shooting business. Please read the article below sent to us by Dave Baker at Baker & Associates financial planners. We need Spokane Gun Club. Sincerely, BOB ROBERT O.
