What is the normal factory backbore on a early Tm1? I mic it and it reads around 738.. and restriction is 687 = 51(extra FULL) .. does this sound right?? I do have a older mic.. its not perfect sooooo that's why im asking?? has a star 18.5 on bbl and G1.480 also accials special if that means anything???
Looks like someone decided to backbore this one without relieving some choke. As I recall early TM-1's usually came in around .725 meaning around .038 choke. Somethings not right here including your measurements.
I appreciate your info !! what I should do is have it mic by someone else.. but I bet your right.. most likely was opened up... might just turn it.. its a release.. don't do release triggers.
The TM1's I've mic'd were all 0.728 and remarkably consistent. The factory full (*) usually came in at 0.040"-0.041" FWIW but like I say that's just what I've seen
The barrels should be stamped 18..3 , 18.4 or 18.5 .The Tm1 spl. I just measured is a 18.3 =.722 bore with a ,042 choke in it. Perazzi also stamped the weight of the barrels on them also.
My TM-1 had .042 full choke with a .724 Bore the choke was .682 extra full choke, extremely tight GB..................................DLS
I had a total of 3 TM-1s all were extra full, Remember Perazzi used #8 shot on patterning their Guns they used to enclose a pattern w/their new guns and it stated #8s were used printed on the Pattern Sheet. GB........................................DLS
