I once owned a DB-81 that had a silver colored weight that was attached to the end of the under false barrel. Could someone tell me where I can find another for the recently acquired DB-81 of mine? Thanks.....Moe
Moe, I haven't seen those manufactured for 20 years. Try this product by Smingler. It is a weight that is hidden inside the forearm but is attached to the barrel. http://www.sminglershotgunsports.webs.com/brassbarrelweights.htm Hope that helps .
Moe are you speaking of those Mercury Reducers that were clamped to the bottom of the Bbl, you could position them for the balance you liked? Dr.longshot
No Dr. , It screwed into the under false barrel, it didn't attach to the actual barrel. I can't remember there being any markings on it but the barrel was Seitz tuned and wonder if maybe it was something that Tom Seitz had made? And in response to Gary, Mr Bonillas liked shooting flat shooting guns and that might have had something to do with his inability to shoot the gun named in his honor. Hard to shoot off the end of your barrel if your shooting a higher ribbed gun.
Wilkinson put one on the top single on my MX-2000 combo set ... Extends forward from what would be the bottom barrel if (see attached picture) it was an over/under ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
Moe how about the one that attached where the Foreaem button was, It had a plastic push buttom and on varying lengths, I had one on my TM-1
Yep, I remember those but with the DB-81 that wouldn't work, no button, just a latch. Thanks WPT, that's just what I was looking for and will call Tommy Monday and see what he can tell me. Thanks to all....Moe
Phillip's Gunsmithing does them also. 210-313-5988. The last time I checked, he gave 3-5-7 ounce for 150.00
