Now I know why Pat-traps are the gold standard

Tried shooting again @ the sporting clays place that opened up a trap/skeet combo field

No wind at all and every other target heights were different--zero consistency and some of the targets went so high to mimic the high target on a Pat's wobble setting

What a POS

 

So where is this club located?

Pat traps will throw good targets if they are set up right, Go complain to the management at Blackjack!!!

 

They did not run 110v to the trap house , now I know why they went with promatic, the other day the machine crapped out & the trapper had to hook up another 12v battery--as it stands its a total waste

 

So it wasn't a pat trap you shot over but a Promatic !!!!!!!!!!

 

You got it, again the Promatic IMHO is a POS for trap

 

I've shot off Promatic's and they were very consistent targets.

You need someone that knows how to set up the machine. If they have the manual, you could set the machine up yourself.

Maybe they have it set on wobble?

Total waste of good money IF they continue like this.

The people who donated to have this put in were told a PAT trap, and got this instead.

Not my money, so I guess I cannot complain.

They wanted no help, so it's up to them now if they plan on getting shooters.

That their first mistake -Sporting clay club going trap - Would never know the difference in a bad target presentation --That's what most sporter expect!
