Northview barrel on Perazzi MX8?

I purchased an MX8 with an unsingle barrel. The barrel is stamped Northview on the top. The bore is 727.

Are these quality barrels? Any information would be appreciated.

 

I (think) Northview was made in Canada. Never heard anything bad about these.

In the late 70's early 80's Northview just outside of Toronto Ontario made some unsingle barrels for Perazzi MX8's they did not make many I believe under 10 but I could be wrong. The barrels were well made and have not heard of any problems with them. When they were built the unsingle barrel was fairly new and not many shooters were willing to try this type of barrel. Northview discontinued building these barrels and the barrels in service are hard to find

 

Thanks oldphart. The bore looks great. It shoots 90% high. It has second generation Perazzi tubes.

 

As I recall the rib was about 1" high mounted on single posts along the barrel and yes they were built to shoot high a good handicap barrel.
