A friend of mine has a 1978 Ihaca imported MX8 30 inch fixed choked barreled gun for sale for $2500.00. The bluing and the case hardened finish is fairly good with a little wear on the bottom edges of the receiver and a little on the back of the trigger guard.. All of the numbers match and the gun is a non select removable trigger with leaf springs. The wood is fairly nice with a couple of small dings in the stock. Although the owner doesn't have any trouble assembling the barrels, I do. The outside of the stock looks pretty good and is not a monte carlo stock and has slope to it. The adjustable comb hardware has been installed upside down with the holes being in the stock and the comb posts in the comb piece. The front comb post is shorter than the back one. I suppose because the gun stock slopes like a sporting clay stock. The stock has repair pieces put in where it looked like a base of an adjustable comb hard ware had been but looks solid. Is $2500.00 in line? The stock seems to be solid and functional but I thought I might buy a PFS grip to put on my PFS which would costs me $250.00 for the grip.
It's not worth much at all. What is your friends contact info?? Pics are your friend on these type of ?'s
