Minimum # of fields to shoot ATA

Is there a minimum # of fields that a club must have in order to shoot ATA--A small club in NC that used to shoot ATA had just two fields--Can a one field club shoot ATA events ?

 

It may depend on the state association, many must “approve” or certify trap fields. I believe some state associations may require two fields, but some do not. You would think that anyone with a legal field would be encouraged to throw registered targets, but not always the case. You can’t always apply logic when politics may be involved,

Here in South eastern PA, we have a pretty good turnout for the Big 50. We are starting big 50 for doubles.

Remember back to the year the 18 yarder won Event 24? Him and his two running buddies didn't need even a one trap club to register THOUSANDS of targets.

 

One club in my area of Northeast Ohio holds registered shoots with only two trap fields. You pretty much count on spending the day cause it's a long process if there are a lot of shooters

 

There are a few clubs with 1 field doing big 50 and marathon shoots in the Northeast.

 

Spencer, IN Gun Club hosts B 50's and reg shoots on one trap and quite well I will add.
