Today was the Michigan Singles Championship at their State Shoot. It was 90 degrees in the shade not to mention the humidity was sweltering. At the conclusion of the first 100, there was almost a 1 1/2 hr lapse before the second 100 was started. They decided to take time to recognize the All State Team Members between events. I am totally in favor of recognizing shooters accomplishments......but I think it could have been done on a more timely or convenient period for everyone that was waiting to shoot. Never seen this before at any State Shoot. The Cardinal Center inducted Mr. Jack Fishburn into the Hall of Fame at the Ohio State Shoot and there was no interruption in the shooting events. Your thoughts please.
At my age in those weather conditions, a 1 1/2 break would have been much appreciated. How much of the 1 1/2 hours was used to recognize the state team members?
From the time they announced the awards ceremony till it was over it was close to an hour. They were going to do the Hall of Fame Ceremony and Induction at the conclusion of the second 100 before shoot offs.
