Right back at you - Merry Christmas! I got some trapshooting buddies who take the approach - "Bah humbug" toward Christmas, but still I wish them a Merry Christmas. My Mom has been in a nursing home for the last year. She is lucky because she has friends and family who visit her daily. Some of the other ones not so fortunate. They just get em up every morning put em in a wheel chair and roll em to the nearest nurses station and they just sit there till it is time to put em in bed. Anyway the last few days I have felt a general feeling of improved happiness at the nursing home. School kids, boy scouts, girl scout groups have been coming through the home and singing Christmas Carols, talking to residents who don't have anybody else. Other groups have been passing out gift bags to the residents - blankets, socks, tshirts, snacks, etc. I've seen some people smile who I've never seen smile. I guess it is sad we forget about em the rest of the year, but anyway for a few weeks Christmas does bring happiness to people, course it makes other sad, but...… Anyway - MERRY CHRISTMAS
