MEC

A friend of mine was at he Grand and said that MEC packed up and left before the shoot was even over? Anyone else noticed this?

 

There were a lot of store vendors that were not even there. Maybe they did not like the rental terms. Tent vendors were running at about 50% of past years. They will not show up if they can not show a profit. The non registered shooters from the Vandalia area are not driving to Ill. to stock up on reloading supplies, cloths, guns, ammo and many other shooting related products that they can not live without. The move was a bad decision made by people that ignored the will of the members and many of the supporters that only can be called customers. Bad moves seem to be the norm with the leaders of the last 15+ years. Sad but true.
The Pres. from Ohio put a big hurt on the ATA with his self serving moves. Lex Wexner offered the ATA a sweet heart deal and was snubbed along with many CEO's that were going to help the organization. Where was the remaining members of the EC and the BOD they should not have let that happen. Roger C.
