    Are the retailers lowering it?

    20% drop in a year

    You're right to be annoyed. That 20% drop is real. But the guy at Cabela's isn't looking at the London Metal Exchange ticker when he slaps a price tag on a bag of shot. He's looking at what his company paid for it and what you, the shooter, have proven you'll still buy. We trained them to accept high prices by paying them. The only way to untrain them is to stop buying... and good luck getting millions of shooters to agree to that.

    all the retailers arent going to drop prices on the lead on their shelves. they need to sell it or else take a loss, since they bought high.

    they gambled and now the shelves a clogged with overpriced inventory.
