Kudos for Trap and Field Fake News

According to recent ATA minutes, the magazine Trap and Field has been given a pat on ass for their coverage of trapshooting. This is despite americantrapshooter.com catching the magazine using false numbers in their coverage of the grand at Sparta.

For three consecutive years the numbers were approximately doubled. It was a forum member that pointed the obvious to the magazine.

No formal comment has been made on the forum yet by T&F.

 

The problem is the ATA owns Trap and Field, so Trap and Field will (can) only print what they are told to print even if it is misleading the public or in this case membership by making these false claims , kind of like 20 to 30 millions dollars being generated in the local and regional area in and around Sparta, Ill as everything moves in a "Fantastic Direction" ... The Trap and Field has no commitment to any one other than the ATA and any and all claims should be verified before being able to publish them but they are exempt because its not a registered news publication ... The local television station got mislead also and broadcast numbers that were ridiculous and grossly inflated making them self look like complete and total fools to anyone who has 10 cents worth of brains and common sense ... The ATA ED, EC and many of the BOD needs a boot in their ass for being as corrupt and dishonest as they are with the public and the membership ... I recall 15,000 shooters staying in the camping area (in 1,000 camp sites) and another 15,000 or so in the immediate area in and around Sparta ... They really need to post this type of stuff in the comics or in a section of "Guess what we heard " in the magazine ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

This would be a Great "60 Minutes" show.....

Bring back Morley Safer for just one evening to do a show about all of the shenanigans that have gone on over the past few years.
