I don’t think that hook is for a ks5 I think it is for a Kx5

 

Are the KS5 Special triggers the same as KX5 triggers? Why do you think this is a KX5 release hook? And does it look like a factory hook or a gunsmiths? Thanks for any information.

 

That does look like a hook that would fit a KX-5 or possibly a later model KS-5 Special. The trigger base is the same along with the inside. The only difference is the the KX-5 has a sliding trigger shoe involved. Either one required the hook with the adjusting set screw for engagement of the integrated hammer to accept the hook. The early KS-5 had two set screws in the base of the trigger, one to adjust the engagement of the hook, and one like the rest of them to adjust creep of the sear or trigger pull.

The hooks I have seen had a squared off front though from the pin attachment. This may be a gunsmith's version, other than Krieghoff's. Or maybe this is their new design for the KX-5, or maybe the KX-6. Never seen the KX-6 hook.

The hook I had for a ks5 didn’t have the adjustable screw but my kx5 did have it

It looks like several I sold that were for early KS5 o KS5 Special with 2 holes in trigger guard. If you loosened the set screw it was a pull trigger and if you turned it in it was a release.
