I’m selling this beautiful Krieghoff standard trap stock with nice category 3 wood on it. The stock is factory in altered. Forend has engraved rosettes.

From the the deepest concave part on the butt pad to the end of the ear where it fits to the receiver is 16.25”

 

Do you know what upgrade this wood is. I know super scroll is above standard? Also you said in altered. Did you mean unaltered ? Was this stock cut at all ? Thanks.

 

Several years ago Krieghoff did away with calling wood grades “super scroll, Bavaria, crown”. They now go by category upgrades 1-5. Yes I intended to say unaltered.

 

Ok so it hasn’t been cut at all ? Are there any marks on it that cannot be seen in the pictures?

 

No not cut or altered.

it’s super clean. I can look at it again when I get home but it’s like new

 

One last question you say the forend has rosettes on it. Was that factory also and can you post a picture of them. Thanks

 

Yes the rosettes are factory engraved ones, no standard

 

Two small marks on forearm are pictured along with the engraved rosette. A few very minor marks on butt stock nothing noticeable unless you really look for them.

 

I am currently pricing out new wood as we speak. I will make a decision after getting some prices. Thanks.

I have been in touch with Paxton Arms in Texas. I bought my two Kreighoff’s from Robert. Has quoted me $3850 for a new category 3 stock and $4775 for a category 4. Both fitted at Kreighoff in PA. I have to decide what I want to do at this point.

Does this stock have right of left cast or is it neutral?
