James L. Feathers, of Delphos, Ohio passed away yesterday at the age of 99. Jim was a regular at all of the local trap clubs, including Thorn Bottom, before his failing health. Rest in peace, old friend!
He was a great friend back in the Vandalia days. I can remember him saying they have to bury me with a bottle of Old Crow Kentucky Burbon. He said it might be a hot dry trip where I am going. He was always great to talk to and loved our game. God Bless! RIP. Jim. At 99 you lived a great life. Terry & Nancy Jordan.
Rebel Yell was Jim's drink, I tried to buy a bottle yesterday to pass around at the funeral home for him but couldn't find one. I remember Jim from the real old days when he shot with my dad. I re-met Jim when I started ATA in 74. He took me around at the Grand that year and he knew everyone. It took us a couple of hours walking the line because he stopped and talked to every shooter we met.. His viewing is Thursday 2 to 8 at Harter Funeral Home in Delphos, Ohio. Jim was one of a kind. Jim's name still enters the conversations at most of our local shoots. A good shooter a good friend and a good story teller. he is still missed. Dave Berlet
